CDER
The Coalition for Rural Economical Development (CDER) is an alliance of associations created in September 2002, with the free consent of the member organizations, and is working for the public benefit.
CDER functioning principles
- Principle of Democracy, expressed in the democratic decision making within the Coalition.
- Principle of Transparency, expressed in the information of the public oppinion about the activities developed as well as about the documents adopted by the Coalition.
- Principle of Freedom, expressed in the free participation in the activity of the Coalition.
- Principle of Responsibility, expressed in taking the responsibility regarding the acomplishment of the objectives of the Coalition, as well as regarding the interests of beneficiaries.
- Principle of Equality expressed in the equality of rights and responsibilities of the member organizations of the Coalition.
Goal
The Goal of the Coalition for Rural Economic Development is to contribute to the improvement of the legal framework concerning the economic activity in the rural area.
Objectives:
1) Evaluation and monitoring of the legislation regarding the economic activity in agriculture.
2) Elaboration of proposals for the improvement of the legal framework regarding the economic activity in agriculture.
3) Raise public awareness concerning the legal constrains in the economic development in agriculture.
Activities implemented:
- Identifying the problems that affect the small medium entrepreneurs from the private agricultural business.
- Studying the legal framework that regulates the activity of the private agricultural entrepreneurs, in order to identify the constrains that affect the development of the private agricultural business.
- Comparative study of the national and international legislation in the field.
- Elaborating proposals for the improvement of the legal framework in the field.
- Organizing roundtables, seminars, and conferences.
- Producing TV and radio shows, organizing briefings and pressconferences.
- Information materials publication.
Ruling bodies:
1. General Assembly of the CDER members: Adopts the Regulation and the modifications of the Regulation;
Elects the permanent Delegation of the Coalition;
Determines the main activity domains of the Coalition
2. Permanent Delegation: Establishes the short-term and mid-term strategy of the Coalition;
Organizes and leads the activity of the Coalition;
Represents the Coalition in the relations with the public and private institutions, civil society organizations on the local and international levels;
